Star Wars A Solo Story

What I will say is that the score of Solo done by composers John Williams and John Powell it is difficult to differentiate between who wrote what aspect to the score. I honestly can not tell who did what aspects to the score by just listening. I think this is the best Star Wars score since the classic Trilogy.

I like the aliens and world building in this film.

I liked this film more than The Force Awakens and the Last Jedi but not as much as Rogue One.

I was surprised by seeing particular things in this film like Lando's costume from Return of the Jedi to make a cameo.

I like the new characters in this film. I think the new characters in this film were some of my favorite aspects to the film.

It surprised me to see Warrick Davis in this film and see his actually face rather than see him as an alien spiecies.

I had trouble believing the actor playing Solo and knowing what the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs is disappointed me because I imagined something different from A New Hope and seizing what it was undermined what it was to me seeing it in Solo. I mean when Solo ask Obi-Wan in A New Hope if he ever heard of the Millenium Falcan because it flew the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs it makes less sense now that I see that film because there were only 3 people on board the Falcan who went through and witnessed the event and no one else was there to witness the event.

I wish that this film was not called Solo so that the film could have been less predictable. We knew going in anyone new could die but we knew that Han, Chewbacca, and Landon could survive.

This film also provides a different aspect to Landon and where his loves are. One thing I did not get out of this film was what is Han and Lando's backstory behind the film. I always thought that Han and Lando had a deeper relationship than this film provided. I always imagined that Lando had a relationship that went beyond the work relationship where as Solo shows it as only a work relationship. Also I always imagined the Falcan being the last part to the relationship not the first. I also always thought that the Falcan going 12 parsecs was something done in a test run and with Chewbacca and Solo done in some sort public environment with spectators not just known to those onboard the Falcon in a single event.

I was not a fan of the sort of love relationship Han had in this film. I was thinking that Han would be the type of guy he was likable but faced a bunch of failed Love relationships.

I wish that this film did not try to answer so any questions we as an audience had since the classic trilogy in this film. I wish that more of the questions in this film remained a mystery.
