The Mummy (2017)
This is a film where I have difficulties in how I would rank this film because there are aspects I like about this film.
In many ways I think I went in expecting one film and got a different trailer but still confused on how to define the film.
The first act of the film was really good. But this film is going to get mixed reactions because it is difficult to pinpoint what kind
Tom Cruise is playing the Han Solo character of this film in it for the reward and doing the sarcastic remarks. The Nobel thief on an adventure.
I think the beginning of the film was the best.
The action was pretty cool.
In many ways the Mummy's acted more like zombies rather than Mummies.
The beginning was the best.
This film was suspenseful with comedy.
Doctor Jekyell and Mr. Hide and think could have been handled better in the film. Doctor Jekyell was handled better.
The airplane and opening sequences were done pretty good. It was probably my favorite part to the whole film.
I like the comedy elements in this film.
This was very different from the other Mummy films.
I think the score by Brian Taylor was interesting. Some of it sounded pretty cool.
I disliked how growse and disgusting the bodies looked in this film by the Mummy sucking the life out of them.
This was a very different kind of role for Tom Cruise. I think that a lot of the negative reactions may be because this is not Tom Cruise typical role we see him play as the Han Solo like character.
In the end I would say this is a medicure film but not one I would buy but I am curious what they can do or will do to this Monster Universe.
Dr. Jeckyl in many ways felt like a random element to the story in order to provide exposition to the story.
This film is filled with plot twist and turns.
My least favorite part is the interpretation of the Mummy. It was more like a curse/zombie film rather than focused towards the historical Mummy in the cultural sense.
I felt like this was a mediocre film.

Mission Impossible film rankings
How I would rank the Mission Impossible films as Mission Impossible Rogue Nation (2015) Love the locations, physical comedy, the fun, crazy stunts, music. The Airplane, Mission, Protagonist, Super well passed. Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) This has my favorite music, opening credits, cast, comedy, locations, enjoy the gadgets in this film. Love how the gadgets are a character of this film. Super well passed. Loved the cast in this film. Mission Impossible III (2006) This has my favorite protagonist in the franchise. The ticking bomb works in this film. Mission Impossible Fallout (2018) Love how this ties to the rest of the franchise. Impressive stunts. I feel like the story is too series. Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1 (2023) Amazing action. Well written protagonist. Mission Impossible (1996) The only one that uses no guns. It has interesting twist. But heavy in dialogue exposition. Mission Impossible 2 (2000) even though the film has a great opening the plot
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny film review
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny 2023 film review It has lots of action scenes. It feels like a real authentic Indiana Jones film. Very different from Indiana Jones and Crystal Skull that felt fictional. This film felt grounded. It was a pretty good film. I enjoyed it more than Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull. This is a movie that felt like an Indiana Jones film unlike Crystal Skull that felt a bit out of place in the final act. It was cool seeing a scene going under water with 1960's technology and making the scene look like it was shot in the late 1960s. I am not used to seeing a scene like that. The Eels were interesting thing we had not seen before in a film. This is the first Indiana Jones film without snakes somehow being absent in the film. It was nice hearing the established themes from previous films but I wish that the new themes stood out more in the film. It was interesting seeing several time eras represented in the film. I hated that the film did not
Selma (2014) film review
Selma (2014) film review. I feel like the film is not as effective for me as I would like. Mainly because I was not not as invested in the characters as I should be. It sets up the situation rather than also developing the people in the film. I also feel like the fact that this film is dialogue heavy and not much music does not help either to stay focused. I liked seeing the preacher aspect and the fact that Martin Luther was a pastor emphasised in this film. I felt like for a film focusing on Martin Luther King it should have focused more on the emotional aspect to get invested in the people more. I did not feel that enough. Instead it felt like a general aspect and focused on relationship between Martin Luther King and the President and being monitored and bugged by the Federal government. I feel like the casting for the figures of Martin Luther King and President Johnson does not work as well as it should. I feel like I have seen stronger Civil Rights films that hit more
The Flash (2023) film review
The Flash (2023) film review I saw #TheFlash. I could not believe what I witnessed. Oh my Gosh!!!!! There are nice deep cuts in the film like the Back to the Future casting of #MartyMcFly character. This has to be some of the best #Batman stuff ever from all the variations. I was impressed by the explanation of Time travel. This was a nicely passed film. I never felt like the film was lagging. I think it might upon my Top 10 list for superhero films. This was the best versions of Batman explained in a simple way. Loved seeing the different versions of Superman and Batman in this film. It was a great homage to what came before in the DC universe with also the things we could have gotten but never had the chance to. This film has a Deep cutt of Nicholas Cage. This was the best we have seen of the Michael Keaton & Ben Affleck versions of Batman. I enjoyed seeing Michael Shannon portraying General Zod once again. I feel like this film showed just how strong General Zod was and shows

Not exactly a good place to start a universe at, honestly they should have canonized Dracula Untold like they initially said they were going to do. That I feel would have been a better starting point, also why not use a Vanhelsing as the exposition dump character instead of Dr.Jeykl?
