The Lego Batman Movie (2017)
The movie was great at the beginning. The film starts of with an adrenaline rush of laughter but half way through the film and it was just went too much. The film went all big showed all it's cards at the beginning so much so that there were no further surprises after the first 30 minutes of the film so anything else that comes after the first thirty minutes is no longer a surprise.
I though that this film did a great job understanding the genre of Batman but after a particular point it just came too much. It went too quick to go too far as far as the jokes. The film did not know where to stop. The end resolution was ridiculous.
I enjoyed & liked the fact that this film at least understood the Batman genre. It was obvious that a lot of research and fandom went into this film as far as the story, the characters, incorporated obscure villains, the obscure details from the previous reiterations, even up to the film score that incorporated elements and ques from the previous reiterations of Batman. Especially in the track "Battle Royale" done by Lorne Balfe. Great film score as well as the other songs in this film soundtrack.
I enjoyed the fact that this film was able to incorporate obscure villains and references of the previous Batman reiterations.
The depiction of the action was extraordinary.
I was disappointed by how little there was so little of the Justice League. I did want to see more than just a party scene. I wanted to see more interaction.
This one did more psychoanalyze Batman/Bruce Wayne family issues.
This film went from high energy to a sudden dip because went so high. It was like the film started off with someone drinking a energy drink like Hammy in the Over the Hedge film but then eventually after you have a party the audience is like okay we have heard that. We went so high that there was no where else to go but down.
This film had far too many jokes and gets exhausting and too much. I think it would have been better if there were a little more serious issues intermixed to the laughter to keep it focused.
I wish that this film worked more on the other villains besides the Joker. This film had so many villains but not enough to get you invested in the other villains besides The Joker.
This film did draw on too long on too much drawings.
There may have been just a touch too much talking roles by Batman.
I wish we saw a little more of Bruce Wayne and less of Batman. This film had plenty of Batman and not enough focus on the villains.
This film understands his distance he tries to get from the rest of society so he does not emotionally invested in other people.
Those who suffer from ADHD, are not big fans of Lego or Batman may not be a fan of this film because they will not understand the references.

Mission Impossible film rankings
How I would rank the Mission Impossible films as Mission Impossible Rogue Nation (2015) Love the locations, physical comedy, the fun, crazy stunts, music. The Airplane, Mission, Protagonist, Super well passed. Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) This has my favorite music, opening credits, cast, comedy, locations, enjoy the gadgets in this film. Love how the gadgets are a character of this film. Super well passed. Loved the cast in this film. Mission Impossible III (2006) This has my favorite protagonist in the franchise. The ticking bomb works in this film. Mission Impossible Fallout (2018) Love how this ties to the rest of the franchise. Impressive stunts. I feel like the story is too series. Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1 (2023) Amazing action. Well written protagonist. Mission Impossible (1996) The only one that uses no guns. It has interesting twist. But heavy in dialogue exposition. Mission Impossible 2 (2000) even though the film has a great opening the plot
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny film review
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny 2023 film review It has lots of action scenes. It feels like a real authentic Indiana Jones film. Very different from Indiana Jones and Crystal Skull that felt fictional. This film felt grounded. It was a pretty good film. I enjoyed it more than Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull. This is a movie that felt like an Indiana Jones film unlike Crystal Skull that felt a bit out of place in the final act. It was cool seeing a scene going under water with 1960's technology and making the scene look like it was shot in the late 1960s. I am not used to seeing a scene like that. The Eels were interesting thing we had not seen before in a film. This is the first Indiana Jones film without snakes somehow being absent in the film. It was nice hearing the established themes from previous films but I wish that the new themes stood out more in the film. It was interesting seeing several time eras represented in the film. I hated that the film did not
Selma (2014) film review
Selma (2014) film review. I feel like the film is not as effective for me as I would like. Mainly because I was not not as invested in the characters as I should be. It sets up the situation rather than also developing the people in the film. I also feel like the fact that this film is dialogue heavy and not much music does not help either to stay focused. I liked seeing the preacher aspect and the fact that Martin Luther was a pastor emphasised in this film. I felt like for a film focusing on Martin Luther King it should have focused more on the emotional aspect to get invested in the people more. I did not feel that enough. Instead it felt like a general aspect and focused on relationship between Martin Luther King and the President and being monitored and bugged by the Federal government. I feel like the casting for the figures of Martin Luther King and President Johnson does not work as well as it should. I feel like I have seen stronger Civil Rights films that hit more
The Flash (2023) film review
The Flash (2023) film review I saw #TheFlash. I could not believe what I witnessed. Oh my Gosh!!!!! There are nice deep cuts in the film like the Back to the Future casting of #MartyMcFly character. This has to be some of the best #Batman stuff ever from all the variations. I was impressed by the explanation of Time travel. This was a nicely passed film. I never felt like the film was lagging. I think it might upon my Top 10 list for superhero films. This was the best versions of Batman explained in a simple way. Loved seeing the different versions of Superman and Batman in this film. It was a great homage to what came before in the DC universe with also the things we could have gotten but never had the chance to. This film has a Deep cutt of Nicholas Cage. This was the best we have seen of the Michael Keaton & Ben Affleck versions of Batman. I enjoyed seeing Michael Shannon portraying General Zod once again. I feel like this film showed just how strong General Zod was and shows

It's a good review, and I agree with the majority of what you've said. I have a question, though. Why do you wish the movie took a little bit of a more serious theme? I understand that it'd keep a focus as you've mentioned, but as a child's move (7+) do you not think the humour could be excused for the sake of the younger audience?
But as I said previously, good review and structured opinions, it's this sort of thing i'd want to read for a thoughtful and quick to the point review!
